Conducting Internal Workplace Investigations

Workplace investigations are among the most sensitive and high-stakes responsibilities HR professionals and leaders face. This course equips participants with the knowledge, tools and confidence to conduct investigations that are fair, structured and defensible.

Aligned with legal expectations and best practices, the course covers each stage of the investigation process, from scoping allegations and applying trauma-informed interviewing, to managing evidence, assessing credibility and writing clear, well-supported findings. Participants will also explore how to recognize potential systemic issues, including patterns of harassment or bias, and apply structured frameworks to support consistent decision making.

Through interactive scenarios, practical exercises and a capstone investigation simulation, participants will build the skills and resources needed to apply investigation best practices in their organizations.
